The Resale Channel Program is designed to provide value-added resellers, integrators, and distributors with the training, sales tools, and marketing support to help grow their business. Successful partners acquire in-depth experience with email and web security.
Recommendations for Partners to Maximize Benefits:
Cisco certification: Partners who earn Cisco Select Certification or higher increase their knowledge of Cisco products and programs. Certification enables deal registration, which rewards partners for bringing in new business by providing deal protection and granting deal registration discount.
Cisco specialization: By earning one or more of Cisco’s Advanced Security specializations, partners are rewarded for becoming expert in content security technology. They become eligible for product discounts that enable competitive pricing and a rebate that increases profitability.

Recommended Specialization
Partners select which specialization to get depending on which products they sell in the Cisco Security Portfolio.
- Partners who only sell content security will choose the Advanced Content Security Specialization.
- Partners selling more broadly will choose Advanced Security or Advanced Borderless Network Specializations.
Recommended Cisco Certification
Partners must register with Cisco and attain a Cisco Select Certification (or higher) in order to register deals that provide deal protection and an additional discount. How to receive a Cisco certification.
Certification/Specialization and Associated Discounts
Cisco Certified and Specialized Partners purchasing directly from Cisco IronPort for resale purposes are granted discounts based on certification level. Indirect resellers must negotiate pricing with their chosen distributor, and the discount structure is a guideline only. Partners that do not have a Cisco certification are not eligible for the deal registration discount.
