IronPort WEEE Directive/Environmental Compliance and Certifications

WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC)

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive applies to producers who manufacture and sell electrical and electronic equipment in the European Union, and covers all large and small household appliances, IT equipment, radio and audio equipment, electrical tools and telecommunications equipment. The aim of the Directive is to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment and to improve the environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of this equipment.

IronPort is dedicated to minimizing the impact our products have on the environment and is closely tracking the development of emerging national laws that implement the Directive. In the interim, IronPort is taking the steps necessary for compliance with the WEEE Directive. IronPort currently places the WEEE label on its products indicating they should be deposited at an appropriate facility to enable recovery and recycling. IronPort also provides its own take-back program. IronPort will continue to expand and develop our take-back program and pursue options in connection with national take-back programs.
